The nitrogen should be tied up in residue and released again, Especially if you are plowing or discing it down after application, so you should not really lose any money if going back to corn.  Sounds like CPS has some extra 28 they need to sell or want to put some more hours on their sprayer at your expense.  I'd just rip it all and knife in NH3 and let them keep the 28.
