Sharon, ND | Used on last year on a 1000 acres of last years corn pp and it is a very heavy machine pulled it with a 530 quad and wouldnt want to have any less power in our situations. This fall we used it on wheat, soybean and drybean ground and it worked awesome. as for lifting the discs all the way up they usually end up a little bit in the ground when they are in the up position. If you have a little soybean stubble that was tough to combine the little bit that the discs are in the ground it sure helps alot. A couple of problems. The tricyle wheel will nose dive when you find any amount of soft dirt, enfough to bury the wheels, and if it is wet enfough they will plugg when going down the field and make a mess. After a chopping corn header I would say that it did a good job. We thought that it would bury more stalks so you dont see the rows from the corn stalks but that didnt happen. Couple of other ploblems. Broke two rims on the tricycle wheel. couple of bearing on the discs and got stuck twice once bad enfough to have to get trac hoe to pull it out. That is just the little ramblening that I have if you have any specific questiong just ask.. This was a 40' disc chisel | |
