Subject: Joystick loader controls... Like 'em?

SC Nebraska
Our JD 260 loader has always been operated by two of the tractor's own hydraulic levers. Those of you with joystick controls on your Deere loader... do you like them?

I'm guessing that the JD joystick is electric and operates solenoids to actuate the hydraulics, and it seems like that might result in considerably less "feel", resulting in loss of fine control. True in practice? And if so, how bad is it?

Are there aftermarket joysticks that are better than the JD... maybe providing better fine-control?

And if you use a joystick, does that free-up an SCV? (I don't use a grapple... just need lift and tilt for the loader.)
