Shaftsbury, Vermont (SW VT) | You might not see this as the thread is so far down the page. My '94 Chevy leaks oil into the bellhousing, probably the rear seal. The starter is oily enough that on a cold day-----the morning I want/have to plow snow--------that the starter wont even pull in. No noise or anything. Put a space heater under the front for 15-20 minutes and it cranks right up like June. I guess I'll pull the starter off when it warms up. If it doesn't fall apart from the salt, I'll clean it up. Otherwise it's time for a new starter----but the problem will be back. There's almost 145,000 miles on her.
