We started out w/a JD 8400 on a 3pt gold digger. Tractor isn't heavy enough on front end....had to hook to it. We were tiling on flat ground so if you've got any hilly land I don't think you'd be happy with a row crop tractor. If we had to start out any deeper than 3.5 feet the 84 just wouldn't do it.
