Subject: Re: Lincoln Wire Welder Question

La Salle, CO
I'd check and make sure you have a good ground. Usually if I can't get it to spark, I've either got a bad ground, or I'm welding on stuff too dirty, and then a grinder is my friend. If that doesn't work, then I check all my connections, even the power and ground lugs inside the case. Maybe they got loose, somehow? I also check to make sure the gun is connected securely, and that the trigger leads are connected right. Last thing might be to make sure the contact tip is good?
Is that an older machine? The only 160 I can find from Lincoln is a stick/Tig welder. Hope this helps.
