Steve,
I planted the Phacelia that you sent me on Sept 12. Yes it has poor germ, and that along with excess water at planting time, it did not show me much this fall. It is interesting in that it produces a large root system compared to the top growth. The top growth is more vertical and less dense than some species, and would be less likely to crowd out lower growing plants like crimson clover and hairy vetch.
