| We've got a 3000bu wet bin full (18' w/drying floor) and the bins that I can easily transfer grain from are full. My plan is to haul all the dry corn to the elevator in early Jan (hey saved the 17 cent min charge). I had planned to set up another auger and move 3000 bu from a dry bins via a truck going back and forth. It would work, but if I could just keep air on the 22% corn with pretty cold conditions (high temp 35) and dry it when we start hauling in January that would be easier.
I found this quote:
For 22 percent moisture corn, the AST is about 190 days at 30 degrees, 60 days at 40 degrees and only 30 days at 50 degrees.
Do you guys generally agree with the above statement? If so it looks like I'm in good shape. If not, time to start the grain moving circus.
Thanks,
