depends on what you are filling. If you are filling individual boxes like a kinze, I would go with the 6 inch as the eight puts it out a little too fast for that. Anything else, (drill, center fill planter, etc,( then definately go with the 8 inch. Whichever way you go, go with the unverferth, they are an awesome machine.
