Subject: have you talked to Paul Jasa?

Oswald No-Till Farm Cleghorn, IA
Since I don't farm in NE, it is tough to comment on the soils in that area. I do know that Paul Jasa at THE University of Nebraska has studied Nebraska tillage systems for years if you haven't already, I would contact him directly and work with him directly if possible.

I am not sure how to read your "ground is hard" comment. Our continuous no-till will be more firm than ripped soils. "Hard" is a tough adjective to define in relation to soils.

I am not trying to deny your feeling that something is amiss, but I have learned over the years that the perceived problem is often not the real one in dealing with soils and tillage.

Sincere best of luck
