Subject: Treated soybean population?

Seneca Kansas 66538
Just talked to the seed rep today and was talking about soybean planting populations for next year. I threw around the question of again cutting populations from 130,000 down to 110,000 planted. Kinda curled everyones eyebrows about attempting this. Question is, since I am going to plant the RR2's with all kinds of treatments on them and also reading about universities saying anything of a 70,000 stand is not neccesary. Why cant I plant my soybeans at 110,000 seeds? How many guys are trying this and what are others populations? Thanks
