SW Ohio | I will relate this story, only to say I would never do it again now that vacs are common. Center well on a 30' bin, no side well, only the one in the center, got plugged badly, false floor was sitting on two layers of block so,,,,, 16" of room, i cut a hole in the side wall between concrete floor and air floor above and crawled all the way to the center and poked and jabbed a 1/4 rod through a drilled hole for hours until it finally broke free. Could do the same to fix the control rod, but beware of rats staring you in the face!!
I have sucked out a neighbors bin from the top, wasn't too bad at all, just took time.
Another thought...can you pull the auger screw out and insert a hook to grab the gate and pull it open some then resume with the screw?? | |
