Seaforth, Ontario | Applied some the fall before last on a strip of winter wheat before planting. Applied the same rate of N as we top dressed the following spring. We had 10 bushels less on the ESN. I don't think in our area where we can get some warm weather in the fall and then lots of snow and rain in winter we can keep enough of the N to get us through to harvest. The whole idea of this trial was to see if we could apply in fall to save time in spring as well as have some early N applied. This fall we blew some ESN with some MESZ on with the seed through the airseeder. We also broadcast the identical blend at the same rate as well as leaving a 90 foot check beside. At first snowfall there was no visable difference but we'll see in spring and at harvest. Went through the airseeder perfect compared to regular urea and map. My 2 cents. | |
