Nusbaum Farms LLC Bellfountain, OR
When we replant Christmas trees into clear-cuts, we used to disk the ground, then pick the stumps by hand...labor intensive.

Then for a few years we rented a 12' rototiller with a 8V92 Detroit that ground the stumps @ crawl speed in the 8430.....fuel intensive.

Now we just no-till plant in between the rows of existing stumps. Much less work, fewer weed problems and the best part is that you can plant in the winter, rather than waiting for March for the ground to dry enough to work, then losing all your moisture in the process and having trees die in June for lack of water.

Win-win-win so far. :-) We're about 10 years in.
