West Central Wisconsin
we plant on a very large variety of soils from sand, to red clay, to deep black potting soil. (sorry, i know these names are not real scientific). We harvest some of our stalks for beding and the ground was quite yellow with corn after harvesting. This year i was hard pressed to find an ear with our 30" rows.
