| Similar thing happened to me last summer. Elevators grade was way off, in their favor, of course. I think part of it is, every body hears about all the damaged corn, including the guys grading at the elev. They may be getting some damaged grain. SO, they start to look at everything REAL close. The story about all the damaged grain, just grows bigger, and bigger, sometimes, like this fall. Then its almost like they know they can grade good corn as damaged, because EVERYONE knows about all the damaged corn around. Maybe they're trying to pull a fast one, maybe not. Only way you'll know, is to call them on it. | |
