Subject: 107 day corn is still 32% moisture; test weight 45#

NW Iowa. / SW Arizona
I ate dinner with a good friend yesterday & he was complaining how wet one number of corn was. He planted some 107 day corn on May 10th & he said it was still testing 32% moisture with a 45# test weight. He said the elevator is going to deduct $500 on a 500 bu. truck load for load test weight alone; that's on top of the drying charges. He thinks the seed co. should stand some of his losses for misleading there maturity of corn. I told him in my opinion he was S.O.L. He is a very loyal customer to this seed company but said he's through with them if they don't eat some of his dock-age. Do you think he's got a chance to get anything out of them? I don't! This is in NW Iowa & other corn he planted in that maturity is testing 20-22% with 54# test weight planted about the same time frame.
