Neighbor was doing it here in southern MN with rye over winter, then putting in corn for silage double cropping that way. He always ran into weather issues, that's a tough time 'here' to get the crop to dry off, ground worked, and next crop planted.

Oats would be pretty tight on time as the other person mentioned.
