You will lose at least 100 HP, guaranteed with a muffler. If you add a chrome turnout on top of the muffler, that will gain you 25 horsepower back. Now if you replace your rusted out straight pipe with a new chrome one, that will gain 50 horsepower.

Seriously now, I doubt you would ever notice the difference. The only reason to ever run a straight pipe is because you WANT to hear it. Period.
