southern Illinois | Lime corrects you ph and makes your fertilizer available to the plants. If the ph is to low you can put all the fertilizer on you want and the plant cant get it. Most shoot for 6.5 on ph which if a good ave but for beans and other broad leaf plants 7 is better. By far the best money you can spend if the ph is low.
Our lime is around 9 dollars dumped in the field and 3.50 to get it spread per ton.
