Subject: Question for aNH3 system owners

How long can you let the system sit full of NH3 w/o concern for damage to the pump seal at startup?  Hypro recommended purging the pump at the end of the day extend seal life. Do you only purge it at the end of the day? Any time it sits. We drained our system last night when we shutdown but didn't leave the bleed valve open.  Opened tank valve this morning, purged air from system, started pump, proceeded to ruin seal and fog toolbar. Just opened the pump up, silicon carbide seal turned to shrapnel. What happened???
