Western Oregon | I suppose there is no real reason to argue with an idiot but...
I will through out a couple ideas in support of the Amish.
1. Due to the fact that Amish will not defend them selves even if attacked, it would be sort of silly to expect them to fight in the Army...
2. They have traditionally been willing to do alternative service as long as it doesn't involve killing people. So they are not unpatriotic like the morons you see out protesting every where, they just really, really don't believe in killing people.
3. There seem to be Amish on the scene helping with nearly every natural disaster that has hit this country, so I would say that they serve in other ways rather than fighting in some never ending and pointless war. | |
