| The Sask grain cars came about years ago when the railways weren't replacing their rolling stock. The federal government started the ball rolling buying a couple thousand steel hopper cars that were brownish-orange in colour. Later they added aluminum ones. All had the 'Canada" logo. The Canadian Wheat Board added more cars with their logo, followed by the prairie provinces Alberta (blue cars) and Saskatchewan (brown). Each variation carried their owner's logos. The former NDP government here in Saskatchewan decided to refurbish and repaint the Sask cars in a bright (Rider?) green. I believe the program was cancelled when the Sask Party took power a couple years ago. There's a few of the green Sask cars out there but not too many.
