Elkmont, AL
Hey eddy, 2000 uses the original jd maxemerge unit, which parts can be bought at john deere, shoup, or sloan. 3000 uses in house design on the row unit, which is very similar to the maxemerge unit, but parts such as depth control, shank are different. There are few if any differences in the toolbars between the two. They quit making 2000 series around 99. Ive got a 2600 8/15 and love it. Did you ever get that dryer going? Wished I had 15 of those things, I was still getting calls on it from the midwest as of last week! Good luck with harvest, weatherman says Monday is the deadline.
