There is a weight bar type sensor in the clean grain elevator that senses the amount of pressure of the flowing grain as it hits the sensor pad as it comes flying off of the elevator paddles. That is then computed into bpa after being processed by the monitor, taking into consideration the mst, and mph. The calibration also takes into acct. the elevator rpm's and vibration. With accurate calibrations you come up with a very accurate monitor. Simple as that ;)
