I would set the On Look Ahead to at least 2 seconds and see what it looks like in the field. The off look ahead should be .3 and once again, take a look and see if you need to make changes.
As far as the master goes, you can use the enter button on the front of the automate as a master switch button as well. That might be your answer for driving to the water tank.
