Both comments above good ones. Coupled with a cool growing season and the timing of all this rain starting before the crop had any time to initialy dry down is perfect enviroment for mold. If crop would have had chance to dry down or mature more before onslaught of all this rain it wouldn't be as bad. It plain never had a chance to get dried out not even once during the month of October.
