Penobsquis, New Brunswick, Canada | i get 2.2/2.3 acres an hour in 4' /100 bu oats, can get more in barley, but fuel use goes up. in good goin around here, the wagon guy has a tough time keepin up when he's cleaning grain and augering into a bin , with a short distance to haul. if course there's lots of days when the 4' oats are only 6" tall with lots of green stuff....and then i'm doin more like 1.5 ac/hr. around here big heads(16') have to leave big stubble to stop from diggin into the uneven ground. the time window is the biggest problem , harvesting here. iffin we could harvest 5 acres an hour at 100 bupa, the other riggin can't keep up. this winter i'm moving the weed seed/fines cleaner back onto the combine, thus changin the bottle neck. with duals on , the 300 has less ground pressure, cuts oats yesterday, where walking was terrible and unloading had to happen on the road. wheel tracks were full of water after i passed, grain and straw was dry, down, and once in the combine , went thru easily.
our 300 weighs over 9 ton when full and is an anchor when stuck in the mud.
