SW Indiana
I agree with you, sitting here in southern Indiana and watching it rain and the wind blow here. There are flood warnings for parts of the Wabash River. We shelled some corn last night before the rain, and the 1st thing Dad said when I asked him how he was doing was " lots broken off and down, gotta run slow". How many acres of corn across the midwest are exactly the same as ours, with broken and down corn? 100,000? 250,000? , 1,000,000? I don't know, is it just ours?, But if we lose 5 bu./acre from all these affected acres, that adds up. Maybe we don't lose that much, may lose much more. Frustrating to say the least. God bless all, and when we do get out there, Be Safe!
