I washed mine down every 50-60 hours last year. A clean dryer is an efficient dryer. I think if the weather is nice and sunny you wouldn't have to wash it down too often, its when it is raining out and all red-dog cakes on the outside that leads to the problem.
Anyone else powerwash their dryer?
