Subject: bin drying beans

PROSPECT, TENNESSEE
for those of you doing the same thing thought i would let you know my progress.

18' bin,, 12 ' of 16% soybeans, 10 hp fan , 100 degree heat.
beans were in bin for seven days, six of which were good drying days and one of cold rain. first 1300 bushels were 15.8%
last 900 bushels were 9% or dryer.

was hateing to sell 15.8 beans, discount around $.80, needed bin space, elevator full of corn so i couldnt move the dry corn i have.

this did not work out to good. burned all that propane and still got docked on over half and over dried the balance, guess i need stirrators. bad thing is : when the sun shines i will do it again!
