Subject: Trichoderma ear mold

NW IOWA
Trichoderma ear mold in a lot of corn showing up. Caused by excesive moisture one month prior to harvest. This is showing up in many fields in the upper midwest. Butt of the ear is starting to ferment(rot). Smells like silage. Green to blue mold growing between kernals up and down the ear. Need some sun and dry conditions to slow it's progress.
