What if alot of us dont get our beans out till say spring. Will and how will RA work? We may not get corn out til freeze up and who knows when and how much snow we will get. Everyone remeber the Hallween blizzerd we had!! That year sucked.

This is a very pertinent question. I have been meaning to make a post on it, but simply have not had the time to do it properly. It is a very complex subject and to give a good answer, I will probably need to find 20-30 minutes. I hope I can do that in the next week or so.

In the meanwhile, here are a few things:
1. It is correct that the end of the insurance period is Dec 10, however there can be additional time allowed to harvest at the company's discretion.
2. If you do not harvest a mature crop waiting for it to dry down, and that causes additional loss, that loss would not be covered. The definition of "mature crop" is one I need to do some digging on, I am not sure anyone knows what that means precisely.
