Winterset, Iowa | I remember when I first started farming, almost 40 years ago, we were very happy to be done harvesting by Christmas. Then as years passed, we thought it was great to be done by Thanksgiving. Now, if you're not done by the end of October, it's viewed as a disaster. The old saying comes to mind that history repeats itself. Might be hoping to get done by Christmas but hope it's Thanksgiving. | |
