Subject: Deere 9770 Contour Master issues...

Shelbina, Missouri (NEMO)
Running a 9770 with a 635F platform. Every time I push the 2 or 3 button to drop the head back onto the ground, the contour master tilts the head fully to the right before letting the feederhouse go down. I've recalibrated the header a jillion times with the same results afterward. The calibrations work fine. I've even gotten into the diagnostic addresses, and all three sensors are within range and are functioning fine. The contour master tilts both directions manually with no apparent trouble. Through the field, it seems as though the contour master always stays tilted a little bit to the right, and even when I punch the #1 button to raise up at the ends, the indicator on the corner post still shows that the head is tilted just right of center (the head is very obviously tilted right as well)

This is a really frustrating problem. It takes forever for the contour master to level up when the head gets to the ground. I have to stop the machine before every pass...

Thanks for any suggestions...

Bill
