Panhandle of Texas | Hey Cornholio, Buddy, the squeaky wheel does get the grease ! Yeah, the know what a crappy tire they are using, but I will bet they have a contract with them (Deere w/ G.Year), and that's why they keep rolling 'em out like that. It's a pain, and it wears a man down, but you just gotta approach your dealer, and get the ball to rolling about the defective tires !! A neighbor of mine went through the same deal on a 4wd tractor, and G.Year finally budged, and gave him another set. (of what [brand] I don't know, but they were a new set--8 tires in all) If your dealer is on the ball, he/she/they can get a GoodYear rep. out to you, and hopefully the rep. will have the intestinal fortitude to man-up/pay up. While I'm in agreement with you that you'll most likely not get a set of Michelin's, you ought to at least get a new set of G.Year's. I'm with ya': I will take a set of Firestone's waaay before the G.Year's, but Michelin's are my preference. |
