There will be many replies to this and you can do a search. I had same trouble and fought it for years before I found my problem. The auger was not all the way down. There was dirt and chaff on underneath the auger resting stops on the ends of header. Lift the reel all the way and it should lift the auger some also. You have to get in on end of head with screwdriver or wire to chip this dirt out and then blow. It is a very hard place to get to. I do not know if this is your problem but it made my head night and day difference.
