Lots of things it could be, I'd try a few things:
1. In IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced Tab. Click on "Reset". It sets IE back to it's original state. Normally recommended when it becomes unusable like yours appears to be.
2. Go into your control panel, add/remove, and uninstall Mozilla, then reinstall it. Could fix any corrupt files there.
