Leaking valve covers on a Harley are normal, I am told. The bolts probably worked loose due to excess vibration. For this reason, I like to use weatherstrip adhesive instead of a gasket on the surface of the valve cover. Valve covers should prolly be run down to 12-15 foot pounds torque (I assume)(check manual). Medium strenght Loc-Tite on the threads should solve the problems with the bolts coming loose and causing an oil leak.
