I planted some Bloody Butcher OP corn this year. It was planted next to regular RR commodity corn, but I haven't found any cross polination in the commodity corn yet (planted a week apart). The Bloody Butcher corn is a genetic jungle - tall, short, early, late, etc. This is from seed I had grown about 5 years ago in a plot - the wind blew over most of it and I saved ears from what was left standing and planted it this year. I set the pop to 24K on 30" rows and it seemed to work well (no major lodging). The pic with 3 ears is from typical Bloody Butcher ears. The pic with two ears is of black kernels. I plan to sell some ears as decoration for the holidays and sell the rest for livestock feed. Let me know if you'd like any full ears or seed (email in profile is good).
