The whole purpose of a grain spreader is to spread the fines across the bin.. IF you didnt use it all the fines would fall in the center of the bin and LITTLE OR NO air would get up the middle of the bin full of grain and there fore causing HOT SPOTS and SPOILED grain up the center of the pile of grain.. make since to me THE BOLTMAN..
