Central Texas , Bastrop county | Several years ago, we had rats in the walls and in the attic and decided to try the electronic repeller. I ordered one from a company in Chicago, I think the name of the company was "Bird X ". The instructions told how to place the device and other details and then said something like don't expect instant gratification, the pests will be annoyed and will probably move to a far corner of the attic at first and tough it out for a while, but they will leave in about a week. Well, that is exactly what happened and none ever came back as long as we lived in that house. After selling that house and building a new house, we took that repeller to the new house and installed it in the attic and it worked for about 5 years until it quit working. We have tried several other brands of repellers which have not been near as good as the original one.
