Subject: Greenstar 1 with atu in 9500

Gridley IL
Here is the scenario. I have the universal harness in my 9500 to do autosteer and supply SF1 signal to the PFadvantage through a harness bought from a shortline company. I cut the lighter plug off the harness and wired the harness directly to the battery(I was having issues with the atu kicking out due to inconsistant voltage output from the cigarette lighter). The problem now is when the engine is running with the greenstar harness switch on, the brown box looks like it is trying to turn on and flashes with black lines going across it. Usually I just turn it on and everything is fine. I guess the question is if the switch is off, what is causing the flashes on the screen? Is there stray voltage getting through the toggle swith?
