Subject: Soybean dust fog

Central, IL
So many guys cutting beans around here there was a fog of dust. Going back to the field after dumping at the elevator was very hard to see headed west with the dust at sunset. Quite a line at the elevator just to dump beans.

We have picked some corn. Yeilds are good but not near like last year. Found some corn testing 18%...........yea its all picked now. Dryers are running on the wetter stuff ranging from 21% to 23% Late May/ June is still 30% plus.

Several farmers have started picking and most everyone has cut some beans. I really dont think this corn is going to dry down like it should. Were going to keep picking. Its easier to dry corn now than what it will be in December. If it gets to 23% the combine is rolling.

Be safe out there...................its gonna be a long year around here.
