Macon, IL | General pop always tries to get fired up over grain prices-but if you look at how much of the cost of soybean oil is in those products it is 1-2 cents. So if it doubles and the mfg needs to pass that whopping cost onto consumers then it should only go up 1-2 cents for that $2.50 product.
Now if marketing or packaging costs would double then they would have something to worry about.
Sure seems backwards doesn't it. | |
