| Friends send them Omaha steaks for Christmas. I have aquired several of the coolers. They are the perfect size to transport my own home grown beef inside another cooler long distances.
I filled the Omaha beef cooler with my freezer paper wrapped beef. Duct taped the cooler shut. Then put it inside my large plastic cooler with freezer packs all around and on top of it. Duct taped the plastic cooler shut. Put it in my front passenger seat on my 2 day/1200 mile trip to family reunion in OH with AC set as cold as I could stand it while driving.
Beef arrived about 36 hrs after I removed it from the freezer still frozen solid. Freezer gel packs in the outer cooler were liqufied but still refrigerator cold. | |
