WCIL | My husband ignores all holidays and events. He refuses to shop for presents unless... one of kids want tools. Then Daddy will pull out the checkbook. However, he seems disappointed that his kids won't call him on his birthday and Father's day. Why should they? Dad can't even tell you when their birthdays are. I always try to send a check to my kids. Give my DH a card and video. When the kids were home they got their favorite meal and the Birthday cake was whatever they wanted even including DQ Cakes. I think he got it from his mom. His mom will send the same old cheap card for Birthdays. I try to make my card selections special. | |
