West Central IA | The driveshaft came apart today on my Deere 4830 sprayer. It made a mess of a few things. Got it put back together and started spraying and saw it was leaking from the steering motor. Cleaned it up when I got home and saw it was coming from a bolt on the bottom of the motor. So what would I do but pull out the bolt? I had no idea there would be anything there but a bolt but some things came flying out when I got the bolt out....the pic shows what I was able to find. I have no idea what the stuff is but I'm guessing there is/was/should be a spring involved somewhere.
If you look close at the picture you can see the head of the bolt is bent which is why it was leaking.
Anyone have any idea on what is supposed to be where or know of anyone I can talk to who would know?
