| I;m switching a pen of 1050# hfrs over to once a day feeding. I've never fed once a day before and i'm transitioning and am feeding them 75% am 25% pm and the cattle that were full 5 days ago are increasing intake. On twice a day I always had crumbs left at chores time. and now I;m up 10% on feed intake and even feeding 75% of the feed in the morning it is gone in the evening and when I feed the other 25% its gone in about 4 hours. Is this normal??? I would think there should still always be feed left. None of my feed stuffs has changed moisture and cattle had been very consistant prior to my switch. Thanks for any ideas. | |
