Subject: Re: HOG business-independent

SW Minnesota
When I built my barns 11 years ago that was the prediction that was made. I hope they are wrong.Today is the first and second time I've heard One of the large integrators asking for contract concessions. some of the smaller integrators have been doing this the last several months. It is ironic that the two today both have packing plants. You would think that they could look toward the retail end for some concessions. The hog buildings were rock solid to lenders a few years ago. This has got to be doing some permanent damage to the hog industry's ability to borrow money. If the integrators continue to do this it will be extremely hard to get more buildings to compete against the existing one they have already burned.
